Budget 2018: Agriculture research budget can increase by 15% to 8,000 crores government

New Delhi: The day the budget is coming to pass, along with this, there is a stir in the Finance Ministry. The budget session will start from January 29 and the general budget for the financial year 2018-19 will be presented on February 1.

Sources said, "For the purpose of agricultural education, research and expansion, the budget allocation is increased by 10 percent annually over the last few years. We hope that the Department of Agriculture Research and Education will allocate 15% more budget in the next financial year.

This amount will be used in priority areas. This will try to solve major problems in front of agriculture sector. According to sources, this will enable us to move towards the goal of doubling the income of farmers through technology.

In the financial year 2017-18, the government initially allocated 6800 crores for Dair. Dare works under the Ministry of Agriculture. Apart from this, additional allocation was done through grant demands, which resulted in the total budget allocation of Dair reached Rs 7000 crore. The 90 percent budget allocation issued by Dair has so far been spent. The rest will be spent in the remaining period of the financial year.
