Outstanding amount of outstanding tax on BCCI above Rs 860 crore

New Delhi: The world's richest sports board may look at the income tax department on the BCCI. The Income Tax Department replied in response to an RTI that the outstanding balance of the department could reach more than Rs 860 crore on the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI).

In response to an application by Right to Information (RTI) worker Subhash Agarwal, the Income Tax Department has provided detailed information on the payment made by the tax and cricket board on the BCCI.

For the year 2014-15, the total income
tax department said that till January 9, 2018, the BCCI was to pay a total tax of Rs 1325.31 crore for the year 2014-15, out of which it has paid tax of Rs 864.78 crore, due to which his outstanding amount was 460.52 crore The money is left.

Tax liability for the tax liability
year 2015-16 for the year 2015-16 will be completed and the department's financial institution is expected to impose a tax of Rs 400 crore, which is the total outstanding tax of Rs 860.52 crore.
