GOOD NEWS: Deadline for adding small saving schemes to base
The government is also focusing on the use of the base for deposit of bank deposits, mobile number and many other services to curb anonymity and black money.
New Delhi: In relation to linking services required from Aadhaar, the government has given great relief to the people today. The time limit for linking specific identification number base to small saving schemes has been increased from three months to 31 March 2018.
The Ministry of Finance has issued notification in this regard. Accordingly, the last date for linking the basis from small savings schemes such as Post Office Savings and Kisan Vikas Patra has been increased from 31st December, 2017 to 31st March 2018. Prior to this, every depositor who had not provided his Aadhaar number at the time of application for such a deposit, had to provide his base outlet before December 31, 2017.
It is noteworthy that the government is focusing on the use of the basis for bank deposits, mobile numbers and many other services to curb anonymity and black money. Accordingly, the depositor will have to register the Aadhaar number while opening the account and taking the certificate
