Infosys CEO Salil Parekh gets Rs 18.6 crore salary

According to the postal ballot issued to shareholders by Infosys, for the first three months of 2018, Parekh will be given an 'initial convertible pay of Rs 2.37 crore'. This will be different from their fixed pay and other benefits.

Bengaluru:  Salil Parekh has been appointed as Infosys's new CEO on December 2, 2017. Today, in the postal ballot issued by Infosys, it is reported that Salil Parekh will get an annual salary of Rs 18.6 crore. It also includes a portion of their salary variable (variable) pay. This salary will be given from the new finance year. According to the postal ballot issued to shareholders by Infosys, for the first three months of 2018, Parekh will receive an 'Initial Variable Salary' of Rs 2.37 crore. This will be different from their fixed pay and other benefits. 

This letter will be kept for voting between January 22 and February 20. The result will be announced on February 24. Infosys has sought shareholders' approval for Parekh's appointment. Parekh has taken over his tenure since January 2, which is five years old. 

Such would be the total breakup of salary

  • Parekh is proposed to give a maximum of 125% (which will be upto Rs.12.18 crores) of annual payment of 6.5 million rupees (fixed salary) and 9.75 crores (which will be up to Rs.12.18 crores), but it will be provided on achieving certain goals.

  • Apart from this, Parekh will also get restricted shares of 3.25 crore rupees. At the same time, they will get shares worth Rs 13 crore on the basis of performance. They will also be given a one time share grant of Rs 9.75 crore.

  • Parekh will be able to take advantage of his reward in the form of shares from time to time in a five-year tenure.
