Reliance will invest Rs 5,000 crore in Bengal: Mukesh Ambani
In the two-day 'Bengal Global Business Summit' organized in Kolkata, Ambani said that this investment will be in the next three years.
Kolkata: Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL), said that his company will invest Rs 5,000 crore in West Bengal. This investment will be done in petroleum and retail business. In the two-day 'Bengal Global Business Summit' organized in Kolkata, Ambani said that this investment will be in the next three years. The electronic industry will also be encouraged through the manufacture of mobile phones and set top boxes in the state.
He said that RIL has invested 15,000 crores in the telecom business in the state. However, the company had earlier planned to invest Rs 4,500 crore for this. Ambani said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it has taken place in a favorable business environment in the state.
It is noteworthy that many prominent businessmen including ArcelorMittal, K Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, JSW's Sajjan Jindal, Kishore Biani of Future Group, Uday Kotak of Kotak Group and Chairman of RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group, Sanjeev Goenka attended the summit.
