How bad is the NPA government of the country's banks? Know here
The RBI has released some statistics under which non-performing assets of banks are exposed by a major worrying picture of unpaid loans.
New Delhi: While there is a concern about the country's banking sector and Punjab National Bank with Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India, Allahabad Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce all Loan defaulters may be in trouble. The number of non-non-payment of non-payment in the banking sector has increased so much that the NPAs of banks have come in the range of millions of rupees.
RBI has released some statistics under which non-performing assets of banks are uneconomical.
NPA of Public Sector Bank
- Gross Non-Performing Assets of all Government Banks Rs 7,90,649 crore (upto 30th September 2017)
- Gross Non Performing Assets of Public Sector Bank (PSU) Rs 6,89,806 crore (upto 30th September 2017)
- Out of total NPA, gross NPA of PSU banks is 87.25 percent. (Until September 30, 2017)
- Gross NPA of private banks is Rs 1,00,843 crores (upto 30th September 2017)
- Gross NPA of PNB 57630 crores (upto 30th September 2017)
Out of the total 21 public sector banks in the country, nine public sector banks 'gross NPAs are over 15 per cent and 14 public sector banks' gross NPAs are more than 12 per cent.
