Reliance Industries up 4.94 crores in fourth quarter; Geo gains 510 crores

New Delhi: Reliance Industries has announced that during the business year ending March 31, 2017-18, it has made a profit of Rs 36 thousand crore. The special thing is that Reliance Jio has made profits of about seven and a half billion rupees during its full business year before its operations.

Let's look at the results of RIL and Reliance Jio. First of all, the results of the fourth quarter of the business year ending March 31, 2017-18 ie January to March:

• Reliance Industries's total turnover stood at Rs 1.29 lakh crore, which is nearly 39 per cent higher than the fourth quarter of the previous year.


• Reliance Industries's profits are estimated to be around Rs. 9000 crore and this has increased 17% over the last quarter of the last financial year.


• The total business of Reliance Jio was more than Rs 8,400 crore, which is 3.6 percent higher than the third quarter.


• Reliance Jio has a profit of Rs 510 crore, which is nearly three percent higher than the third quarter.


• On 31st March, the number of subscribers of Reliance Jio was 18.66 crores. On average, every customer has earned 10 paisa per month for 137 rupees (in technical language it is called ARPU - Average Revenue Per User)


• Reliance Jio's customers used 506 million GB of data, while the talks were 37,218 million minutes.

• RIL's total turnover is more than Rs 4.30 lakh crore. This is 30 percent more than 2016-17.


• Reliance Industries has a profit of more than Rs 36,000 crore, which is about 20 per cent more than the previous year.


• Talking about Reliance Jio, the company provided a total of Rs 23,714 crore worth of services, which earned him a total of Rs 20,154 crore.


• Reliance Jio's profits stand at Rs 723 crore.
