29 GST rates on goods and 53 types of services, discussions on facilitating filing returns
There was no decision on bringing gasoline and diesel in the realm of GST but in the next meeting, discussions about bringing the real estate sector along with the petrol-diesel may also be discussed.
New Delhi : In a meeting of the GST Council yesterday, the news of relief for the general public came in. It has decided to reduce the GST rate on 29 types of goods and 53 types of services. At the same time, the Council has discussed the simplification of GST return filing so that the burden of complying with the small units can be reduced.
According to the decision taken in the meeting, the rates of GST which have been reduced from 18% to 12% include 20 liters of bottled water, toffee, bio diesel, organic manure, drip irrigation equipment, spraying machines in agriculture. .
Apart from this, the decision has been taken to replace the GST at five per cent instead of 18 per liter of henna and private companies. At the same time, the rate of GST on diamonds has been reduced from three to the decimal two five percent. The first 15% GST rate on ambulance was removed, which has now been withdrawn and the rate of GST would be 28 to 18% on the bio-gas buses. GST rates are reduced
