Gold futures rise in global markets
Gold in Delhi, with 99.9 per cent and 99.5 per cent purity, rose by 30-30 per cent to Rs 30,650 and Rs 30,500 per 10 gram respectively. There was an increase of Rs 145 in yesterday's gold.
New Delhi: After the rise in local jewellers' buying trend in the global markets, gold prices have seen an upward trend in Delhi's Sarafa market today. Gold rose by Rs 30 to Rs 30,650 per 10 gram Market sources said that the weakening of the dollar overseas has raised demand for gold. In view of this, business sentiments have been strengthened considering the positive global signs and the price of gold is marginally low.

Globally, gold rose by
0.54 per cent to USD 1,329.10 an ounce and silver by 0.77 per cent to $ 17.09 an ounce in Singapore in the global markets .

Silver
also moved up by Rs 120 to Rs 39,800 per kg due to rise in demand for industrial units and coin makers.

In a similar fashion, silver ready rose by Rs 120 to Rs 39,800 per kg and silver weekly-based delivery went up by Rs 90 to Rs 39,080 per kg. However, silver coins remained steady at Rs 73,000 for buying and Rs 74,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
Gold silver prices in today's four metros are as follows.
In Delhi, Rs 30,500 per tonne of gold, Rs 29,830 in Mumbai, Rs 28,775 in Kolkata and Rs 28,500 per 10 gram (22 carats) in Chennai is closed. At the same time, silver prices were Rs 39,800 in Delhi, Rs 38,850 per kg in Mumbai, Rs 38,900 in Kolkata and Rs 42,000 per kg in Chennai.
