Advice to the Railways to adopt dynamic pricing model like airlines and hotels,
sources said that the committee formed for review of the flexi fare system in the premium trains has suggested that the Railways should adopt dynamic pricing models like airlines and hotels. Sources said that in the way the passengers have to pay more for the front line seats, in the same way, in the trains, passengers should be charged more fare for their preferred berth.

Sources recommended to increase the fares of popular trains on special routes , said that convenient fares and fare for popular trains can be extended on any particular route. The committee has also suggested that instead of a rental, the Railways should increase the fare during festive season whereas in less busy months the rent should be reduced.

Apart from this, the concession should be given to passengers of the trains arriving at their destinations in an uncomfortable time. For instance, in the case of passengers from the night between 12 am to 4 pm and from 1 pm to 5 pm, concession in fares can be given to the passengers.
The committee submitted the report to the Railway Board submitted
its report to the Railway Board yesterday. The committee has suggested these changes in the flexi rental system. In this system, the rent increases in premium trains up to 50 percent, which is being opposed by different circles. Flexi fare system raises the base rate by 10 per cent after booking 10 per cent seats each. This increase is up to 50 percent.

Sources said that the committee has also suggested a premium fair in trains completed in the night and in pantry car facility trains.
