New Delhi: During the first nine and half months of the current fiscal, direct tax collections increased by 18.7 per cent to Rs 6.89 lakh crore. The tax department has given this information today. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has said that the direct tax collections till January 15, 2018, have received more than 70 per cent of the entire year's target of 9.8 lakh crore.

It states, "On January 15, 2018, the real tax collection in the direct tax collection has been Rs 6.89 lakh crore. According to the release, the total direct tax collection (before tax refund) increased from 13.5 per cent to Rs 8.11 lakh crore during April 1, 2017 to January 15, 2018, as per the release. done. In this period, taxpayers were given a refund of 1.22 lakh crore rupees.

Increasing tax recovery in every quarter
CBDT said that during the current financial year, there has been continuous improvement in the realization of direct tax recovery. In the first quarter of the financial year, direct tax collections increased 10 per cent, followed by 10.3 per cent in second quarter and 12.6 per cent in the third quarter. On January 15, 2018, it recorded an increase of 13.5 percent.

Similarly, if the total net direct tax collection is reported, 14.8 per cent compared to the same period in the first quarter, 15.8 per cent in the second quarter, 18.2 per cent in the third quarter and 18.7 per cent higher on January 15, 2018.

In the corporate tax collection, corporate tax collection increased
4.8 per cent in the first quarter, 10.1 per cent in the third quarter and 11.4 per cent rise on January 15, 2018. During this period, the net corporate tax collection, which grew 10.8 per cent in the second quarter, increased by 17.4 per cent in the third quarter and on January 15, 2018, it has a total growth of 18.2 per cent.
