Preparation of Budget of Rs. 2 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh
A budget of Rs 2 lakh crore is proposed for the next financial year even after the decline in state revenue due to GST.
New Delhi / Amravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is going to present a huge budget of Rs 2 lakh crore for the financial year 2018-19 in view of the 2019 general elections. This is more than 43 thousand crores more than the 2017-18 budget. This is probably the biggest increase in the budget during any one year.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramkrishnaudu announced this in Amalapuram today. He said that he is going to propose a budget of Rs 2 lakh crore for the next financial year even after the decline in state revenue due to GST. Budget needs to be introduced in February.
It is notable that the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in 2019. Assembly elections in the state will also be the same year.
