TCS's profit down 3.6% to Rs 6,531 crore

The company said that its operating income during the October-December quarter has increased by 3.9 per cent to Rs 30,904 crore in the current financial year compared to Rs 29,735 crore in the previous fiscal.

New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's largest information technology company, has come down 3.6 percent to Rs 6531 crore in the quarter ended December 2017. His net profits in the same quarter of last financial year was Rs. 6778 crores. The company gave this information today.

The company said that its operating income during the October-December quarter has increased by 3.9 per cent to Rs 30,904 crore in the current financial year compared to Rs 29,735 crore in the previous fiscal. The company has approved the interim dividend of Rs 7 per share to shareholders.

TCS Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Rajesh Gopinathan said, "We have made a good end of 2017 by performing strong in the December quarter. The laggards in our portfolio have started improving and the company's sluggish sectors are declining, we are ready for better performance. "He said that the company has more than five million dollars in the digital quarter during the December quarter. The first deal is signed.

In the last quarter, the company's digital revenues grew annually on an annual basis and it has 22.1 per cent share in the company's total revenue.
