The Uttar Pradesh government today presented a budget of Rs. 4.28 lakh crore for the financial year 2018-19. This is 11.4% higher than the previous fiscal year's budget. Finance Minister Rajesh Aggarwal has proposed new schemes worth Rs 14,341.89 crore in the budget.

In the budget, new schemes of Rs. 14,341.89 crore have been announced and with this, the goal of foodgrain production in the year 2018-19 has been fixed at 581.60 lakh tonnes and oilseeds production target of 11.28 lakh tonnes. Under the field pond scheme in Bundelkhand area, the target is to build five thousand ponds in the coming year. An order of Rs 131 crore has been proposed for establishment of Solar Photo Voltaic Irrigation Pumps.

UP government schemes for farmers

• Under the scheme 'Sprinklar Irrigation Scheme', a provision of Rs. 24 crores for subsidy to farmers is proposed.


• A target of one lakh 65 thousand hectares has been set for sowing of sugarcane cane. 80 lakhs kuntala progressive sugar cane


• Seeds will be made available to sugar cane farmers. 42 crore 49 lakh rupees for implementation of Chief Minister Food Processing Mission.


• An arrangement of Rs. 100 crore for the advance storage plan of Fertilizer.


• Target to purchase 50 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in Rabi procurement season


• An arrangement of Rs. 31 crore for computerization of primary agricultural cooperatives.


• A provision of Rs 200 crore under the subsidy scheme to provide crop loans at farmers' low interest rate.


• Rs. 75 crores for Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Small Dairy Scheme


• 15 crore for organizing Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Animal Health Fair in Development Segments


• 100 crores for National Animal Health and Disease Control Program

• New to encourage milk producers producing the highest cow milk through indigenous breed cows

• A provision of Rs 11,500 crore proposed for the budget of the year 2018-19 for the Prime Minister Housing Scheme (Rural). Provision of Rs. 2217 crores for urban area. 1650 crores for smart city mission


• Arrangement of Rs 200 crore for Chief Minister Housing Scheme. 
  Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, an arrangement of approximately Rs.


• Arrangement of Rs. 214 crore for Shyama Prasad Urban Mission


• 100 crore rupees for the development of cremation grounds and all other castes and religious places in rural areas.

Drinking Water / Clean India

• One thousand 500 crores for National Rural Drinking Water Program in 2018-19 and Rs. 120 crores for State Rural Drinking Water Program.

• An arrangement of Rs 5000 crore for the Clean India Mission (Rural) Scheme in the year 2018-19. Provision of Rs. 1100 crores for urban area.

Highways / Metro Plans

• 500 crore for Metro projects in the state


• An arrangement of Rs. 650 crore in the budget for the initial work of Bundelkhand Expressway project.


• Rs. 250 crore for Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut Caridor Regional Rapid Transit System Project


• 11 thousand 343 crore allocated for construction of roads in the state.


• A thousand 817 crores expenditure for the construction of the bridge proposed.


• Budgetary arrangement of Rs. 3,324 crores for the renovation, maintenance and repair work of the routes.

Industries - Schemes for youth

• Chief Minister Youth with an arrangement of Rs.250 crores for executing a district plan product scheme


• 100 crores arrangement for self employment scheme


• Rs 600 crore for industrial investment policy -2012 and budget provision of Rs 500 crore for new industrial policy.


• An arrangement of Rs. 50 crore for Uttar Pradesh Handloom, PowerLoom, Silk, Textiles and Garmenting Policy -2017. +


• 150 lacs for powerloom weavers to give electricity at concessional rates


• 250 crore for setting up the start-up fund

Health plans

• Proposed to start robotic surgery in SGPGI. The aim of establishing Argon Transplant Unit in KGMU will be to create 500 beds in Super Specialty Hospital, Paramedical and Nursing College in the new campus of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences.


• Budget provision of Rs 291 crore for Prime Minister Mata Vandana Yojana

Purvanchal-Bundelkhand

• Under the special sector program, Rs 300 crore for special projects of Purvanchal and Rs 200 crore for special schemes of Bundelkhand proposed.

Other budgetary arrangements

• Proposed 29 thousand 883 crores in the year 2018-2019 for energy sector schemes.


• The goal of solar power projects of 10 thousand 700 MW capacity by private participation in 'Solar Power Policy -2017' by 2022.


• Rs.1 thousand 500 crores proposed in budget for Kumbh Mela 2019 About 7 thousand 858 crores for the welfare and development schemes of general category and scheduled castes are proposed.


• Two thousand 757 crore rupees are proposed for the development and welfare schemes for minorities in the state.
