Gold slips below Rs 32,000, silver shines

Traders said lower demand from domestic jewelers and retailers and strengthening of the dollar has weakened the gold in the global market.


Gold price come under 32000, silver prices up today
New Delhi: Gold prices have been falling and gold prices have come down even today. Gold prices fell by Rs 20 to Rs 31,980 per 10 grams in the national capital today on reduced demand from domestic jewelers with a weak global trend.

Traders said lower demand from domestic jewelers and retailers and strengthening of the dollar has weakened the gold in the global market. Apart from this, investors are also looking at the US employment data to be released today, which put pressure on gold prices.

In the Delhi-global market, the gold prices of
99.9 per cent and 99.5 per cent purity fell to Rs. 31,980 and Rs. 31,830 per ten grams, respectively, by falling 20-20 rupees. In two days gold dropped 200 rupees. However, the eight-gramy Ginni remained at Rs 24,700 per unit. Globally, gold in Singapore dropped by 0.12 per cent to $ 1310 per ounce.

Silver,
however , declined by Rs 100 to Rs 40,300 per kg on scattered deals of industrial units, on the contrary. On the other hand, silver coins recovered by Rs 100 to Rs 40,300 per kg and weekly-based delivery by Rs 150 to Rs 39,065 per kilogram. Silver in silver dropped by 0.15 per cent to $ 16.37 an ounce in Singapore. Silver coins and liqueurs were steady at Rs 74,000 and Rs 75,000 per hundred respectively.
